These Terms govern all services provided by STLXYZ, including but not limited to STL to STEP conversion, reverse engineering, CAD modeling, and 3D printing.

1. Use of Our Website and Services

By using our website or submitting a project request, you confirm that:

  • You provide accurate and truthful information.
  • You will not misuse or exploit our services for illegal or unauthorized activities.

You agree not to submit harmful, malicious, or fraudulent files, including malware, viruses, corrupted data, or intentionally misleading information.

2. Engineering Services Provided

STLXYZ offers professional technical services including:

  • STL to STEP file conversion
  • Reverse engineering
  • 3D CAD modeling
  • 3D printing (FDM, SLA/DLP)
  • Technical evaluation and design consultation

Our results are based on the data you provide. We are not responsible for errors, inconsistencies, or limitations caused by incomplete, low-quality, or inaccurate files.

3. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property

All files you submit (including STL, STEP, CAD data, images, and reference materials) remain your intellectual property.

We agree to:

  • Keep your data confidential
  • Not share or redistribute your files
  • Not use your files for any purpose other than your requested service

If needed, we can sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to receiving your files.

You acknowledge that CAD models created by STLXYZ are based solely on the information provided and do not grant STLXYZ ownership of your original design.

4. Pricing, Payments & Quotes

Pricing for our engineering services may vary depending on the complexity, size, and nature of your project.
By requesting a quote, you agree that:

  • Quotes are estimates and subject to change if project requirements change
  • Payment may be required prior to delivery
  • All prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise

No service will be delivered until payment is received in full, unless otherwise agreed.

5. Project Delivery

Estimated delivery times depend on:

  • File quality
  • Project complexity
  • Required level of accuracy
  • Communication efficiency

We strive to deliver within the estimated timeframe, but delivery times are not guaranteed.

CAD files, models, or 3D prints will be delivered digitally or physically as agreed.

6. Accuracy & Liability Limitations

While STLXYZ uses professional engineering methods and tools, the accuracy of the final output may depend on:

  • The quality of your 3D scans
  • The resolution of mesh files
  • Missing or distorted geometry
  • Incomplete data or unclear specifications

Therefore, STLXYZ is not liable for:

  • Manufacturing failures caused by incorrect or incomplete input data
  • Losses due to improper use of the delivered files
  • Damages resulting from modifications by third parties

All delivered files should be verified by you before production or real-world use.

7. 3D Printing Disclaimer

3D printed parts may vary depending on:

  • Material type
  • Layer height and tolerance
  • Print orientation
  • Environmental factors

Unless explicitly stated, 3D printed parts are not guaranteed for structural, load-bearing, or industrial use.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use our services for:

  • Weapon production or unlawful manufacturing
  • Counterfeit product creation
  • Intellectual property infringement
  • Reverse engineering of restricted or illegal items
  • Any activity violating international export laws

We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

9. Data Storage & File Handling

We may store your uploaded files temporarily for project completion.
Files may be deleted after a reasonable period unless you request otherwise.

STLXYZ is not responsible for loss or corruption of data after delivery.

10. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital engineering services, all sales are final.
Refunds are only issued if:

  • The service was not delivered
  • A clear error was caused solely by STLXYZ

Work already completed cannot be refunded.

11. Modifications to Terms

STLXYZ reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.
Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law
